Helping with the Red Tape

In accordance with the Act respecting the Bibliothèque et Archives nationale du Québec and the Regulation respecting the deposit of published documents, makers are required to submit copies of all sound recordings to the Bibliothèque. 

Under this law, two copies of each sound recording produced must be supplied free of charge to the Bibliothèque et Archives nationale du Québec within a specified time of the sound recording's release date.

Through an agreement with the Bibliothèque et Archives nationale du Québec, SOPROQ processes these deposits for its members, providing that SOPROQ receives enough copies to meet the requirements of the Act.
